I was listening to the Pokemon theme song, and I realized how much it seemed to describe the first arc of Wings of Fire.

This is Kestrel, who wanted to be a great mother and show her dragonets the world. You wanna, Kestrel.
To catch them is my real test,
This is Dune, who needed to go to the Scorpion Den and commit treason so bad it made Thorn want to kill him, making it a test of loyalty to the Talons of Peace.
To train them is my cause...
This is Webs, who wanted to give them a good life and trained them quite a bit. More of Kestrel, but I've already done that. Duh.
I will travel across the land, searching far and wide...
This is the Dragonets of Destiny searching for their parents after they escape, and maybe Sunny looking for the Eye of Onyx.
